8th Myograd - Myology Summer School, Basic Muscle Sciences – part I

Recognized at the international level, the 8th Myology Summer School will be themed "Basic Muscle Sciences – part I". For the first time, this event is hosted at the University of Paris-Est Créteil, and more precisely at the Faculty of sciences and technology.

Held at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin (UVSQ) for the first time in 2015, and then in Berlin in 2016, the 2017 edition will take place on three university sites in Ile-de-France region: the UVSQ, UPEC (University Paris - Est Créteil) and UPMC (University Pierre and Marie Curie), major poles of research in Myology.

The Summer School is accessible to the students of the College Doctoral MyoGrad, but also students from outside, to graduate scientists and doctors. The school aims at knowing the latest developments of science related to muscular development, muscle stem cells, the molecular fundamentals of biotherapies of skeletal muscle, to the fundamental principles of the various pathologies of diseases of skeletal muscle, the clinic, genetics and innovative therapeutic approaches. For this purpose, teachers who are leaders in their own field of science and who are recognized specialists in neuromuscular diseases, are invited. The different modules are dedicated to the whole area of the muscle research starting with development of muscle, and to the development of new therapies for neuromuscular diseases.

The registration fee is 300 € and comprises access to the entire teaching event including meals served during coffee and lunch breaks. Travel expenses, public transport, hotel, breakfast and dinner are not included.
