In order to offer international exchange programs with ever greater horizons the Language and international exchange department coordinates several international exchange programs.
It also makes inter-university agreements throughout the entire world allowing UPEC students to carry out research or study placements abroad whatever their course of study or discipline may be.

Main exchange programmes :
> The Erasmus program in Europe (170 partners)
> Micefa in the United States and English-speaking Canada (80 host universities)
> Crépuq in Québec (16 partners)
> The University of Yokohama in Japan
> Inter-university agreements throughout the world (nearly 120 partner universities)

Study periods abroad leading to a qualification, placements, theses jointly supervised by two universities, one year study programmes, there are a large number of possibilities allowing the greatest number of students to open up to new horizons, extend their knowledge and provide added value to their C.V. for the European or international employment market.

Welcoming foreign students

Promoting
The department also promotes the training programmes and the scientific reputation of UPEC abroad.  It maintains relationships with embassies in several countries throughout the world and participates in trade fairs organised in Europe and further afield.

Languages
The language and international teaching exchange department contributes to the coordination
of  foreign languages offered to students as part of university options.  It is also in charge of CLES (Higher Education Language Competency Certificate) certification management which allows the operational communication skills of UPEC students to be assessed in several languages.
