A look back on our International Welcome Days

The 2024 edition of our International Welcome Days made the arrival of over 350 international students at UPEC smoother, with a Welcome Desk for practical questions, activities to explore the university and its services, and opportunities to discover the surroundings and socialize.

UPEC International Welcome Days took place from September 5 to 26, 2024.

Highlights of the programs included:
 
  • A Welcome Desk in Créteil for the first three weeks of the academic year. International students benefited from a multi-service reception point staffed bu student advisors, university services, and representatives from the Caisse Primaire d’Assurance Maladie and Caf du Val-de-Marne to assist with administrative formalities
  • An introduction to the University and its services, with an institutional welcome session and campus tours by the Office of International Affairs
  • An afternoon of Sports activities organized by the SUAPS (University Physical and Sports Activities Service) at the  Base de loisirs de Créteil
  • An intercultural awareness workshop fostered discussions on cultural diversity and alterity, encouraging inclusive and collaborative exchanges between international and local students
  • Students Meet-Ups around French culture, with a cheese tasting, a cruise on the Seine and a student party
