Three UPEC Research Projects Win the 2023 Prix de l’Université

Each year, the authorities in Val-de-Marne support research by awarding outstanding local university projects through the Prix de l’Université. Among the winners of the 2023 edition are two PhDs and a master’s thesis from UPEC.

Winners from UPEC

In the PhD category, Antonia Jabbour tied for second place for her thesis in mathematics entitled “Optimal Systolic Inequalities on Surfaces”, which was prepared at UPEC under the supervision of Stéphane Sabourau and Mustapha Jazar.

Tying for third was Simon Perrin for his thesis in cellular and molecular biology entitled “Role of the Periosteum in Bone Regeneration and Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the Tibia”, which was prepared at Université Paris Cité and Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) under the supervision of Céline Colnot.

In the master’s thesis category, fourth place was awarded to Pirenam Augustin Atakpa for his thesis in chemistry prepared at UPEC entitled “Synthesis of Organocatalysts for Flow Chemistry in a Capillary”.
