FIELD OF STUDIES French as a Foreign Language
DURATION 6 months
OBJECTIVES Language skills in French as a foreign language as described at level 1 (= A1) of the Common European Framework Reference for Languages of the Council of Europe and gateway to A2 with a level enabling rapid progression. - Socio-cultural skills in France and intercultural, essential for a better university integration and / or social. - Integration easily facilitated at UPEC or in another French university.
TARGETED SKILLS Oral production in interaction and continuation - Oral comprehension - Written production - Writing comprehension - Cultural Understanding on daily life in France
ORGANIZATION OF TRAINING Compulsory courses: - Learning the FLE: Each session will work all skills: written production as well as oral expression - Phonetic - Numerical FLE - Graphing Workshop (if applicable) Cultural outings > For more detail on courses consult the welcome booklet
PURSUING FUTURE STUDIES Any student who has achieved the average (10 out of 20) for all the tests obtains the certificate or corresponding certificate and is authorized to enroll in next level (DUEF A2). Students that obtain less than 10 out of 20 are allowed to repeat.
CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION Level (s) of recruitment: Bachelor's degree or higher school diploma translated into French. Students are admitted according to their test scores organized in the beginning of the semester, and subject for placement based on availability. There is no pre-registration from abroad (except for special cases and for candidates who can demonstrate an official level in French)
