From March 24 to 28 in New Delhi, India, UPEC took advantage of this major international higher education event to further develop its academic partnerships and reinforce its ties with the French diplomatic services.
APAIE 2025: A Strategic Platform for International Affairs
A unique opportunity to build and enhance scientific and mobility partnerships with institutions across the Asia-Pacific region, the APAIE (Asia-Pacific Asssociation for International Education) Conference is a major event for higher education worldwide. Held in New Delhi, India from March 24 to 28, the 2025 edition brought together over 2,000 participants.
UPEC’s delegation used this opportunity to strengthen ties with partner institutions in India — a priority country for France, which aims to welcome 30,000 Indian students by 2030 — and to explore new partnerships, particularly in Thailand.
Valuable time was dedicated to exchanges with French cooperation attachés representing France in Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand and China. These strategic discussions opened up new prospects for promoting UPEC’s academic and research programs in the Asia-Pacific region.
UPEC's participation also contributed to strengthening cooperation with long-standing partners in Germany, Spain, South Africa, Brazil and Mexico.
A First-Ever Joint Presence Supported by the Île-de-France Region
For the first time, and thanks to financial support from the Île-de-France Region, UPEC shared an exhibition booth with Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Sorbonne Paris Nord — fellow members of RISUP, the French network of international affairs directors at public higher education institutions. This joint presence offered a new showcase for higher education in the Île-de-France region on the global stage.
