Practice languages and learn about world cultures directly on campus! At UPEC, in addition to regular and elective courses, both students and staff can improve their languages and intercultural skills through free of charge workshops.

Bilingual tandems

Two students with different mother tongues exchange regularly, face to face or remotely, in order to “teach” each other their language and culture.

Conversation workshops

Learn languages in a friendly atmosphere and without a grading system through role playing, games and debates. About 20 small groups led by native speakers in

Elective courses in languages and cultures

Starting from the 2nd semester of Bachelor’s degree, UPEC students can follow an elective course. Learn languages and cultures through a wide variety of subjects such as fashion, literature, gastronomy, calligraphy, translation and mobility.

Learning French as a Foreign Language (FLE)

International Students can take advantage of free of charge French as a Foreign Language (FLE) courses from the elementary to the advanced level.
  • If you are an International exchange program student, these courses may be included in your learning agreement (1-3 ECTS)
  • If you are an International student enrolled on an individual basis, these optional and ungraded classes (without ECTS credits) are a great opportunity to improve your French more rapidly
