UPEC has seven doctoral schools in the humanities and social sciences, biology and health, mathematics, engineering, and communication.
Each doctoral school is headed by a professor or researcher, one or more deputies, and a board representing the school's stakeholders such as laboratories, institutions, staff, and doctoral students.
These schools ensure that students have the right conditions to produce exceptional work, particularly by supporting international mobility (mobility grants and assistance with joint programs). They also manage doctoral students' admissions and career paths. Access Paris-Est, a center shared by all the institutions of the Paris-Est Sup community, was specially created to help foreign doctoral students prepare for their stay in France.
