International Welcome Days

To make the arrival of its new international students easier, UPEC is organizing its International Welcome Days from September 4 to 26, 2025.

Take advantage of one-on-one support at the Welcome Desk in Créteil and enjoy a wide range of friendly activities to discover the university, explore its services, and meet other students.

Please note: with the exception of the Welcome Desk, all activities require prior registration and are subject to availability. An email will be sent to confirm your registration.

Welcome Desk

September 4 to 26, drop in from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Monday to Friday
Maison des langues et des relations internationales, mail des Mèches Campus, Créteil

The Welcome Desk is a multi-service reception point set up to ease your arrival. Student advisors are available from Monday to Friday to help you with administrative formalities and settling in France, and to answer all your practical questions.

You can also benefit from the presence of university services representatives and experts during dedicated hours. To make the most of your visit, make sure to bring the necessary documents to complete the administrative steps.
 

• Administrative registration at UPEC: Thursday, 4 and Monday, 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Service Inscription et Organisation des Études (SIOE)
• Housing and social support: Thursdays, 4 and 11 from 10 a.m.  to 12 p.m. - Service Vie de Campus (Campus Life Office)
• Social security registration, Assurance Maladie, Social Aid and Health information: Tuesdays, 9 and 16, Thursday 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Assurance Maladie (CPAM du Val-de-Marne), Caisse d'Allocations Familiales (Caf 94), University Health Service
• Residence permit: Wednesdays, 10 and 24 from 1  to 4 p.m. and Wednesday, 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Office of International Affairs

Take part in one or more of the activities on offer — it is the perfect opportunity to discover your new environment and the university’s services, as well as to meet new people in a welcoming setting. It's time to make your first unforgettable memories in France!

Please note: spots are limited and registration is required. Except for the Go International! workshop, these activities are reserved for international students.

University presentation

Sports & Games

Friday, September 12 from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Group departure from Maison des langues et des relations internationales, mail des Mèches Campus
The University Sports and Physical Activities Service (SUAPS) is hosting a sports and games afternoon at the Base de loisirs de Créteil. Enjoy an introduction to laser run, spikeball, and archery, a volleyball tournament, and a yoga session to relax. No need to be an athlete — mölkky and giant wooden games are also available for getting to know others and having fun in a relaxed way.

Campus Tours

Wednesday, September 10 from 12 to 2 p.m. (last departure at 1 p.m.)
Departure: Maison des langues et des relations internationales, mail des Mèches Campus
Explore the Mail des Mèches and Créteil Center campuses through an interactive scavenger hunt. Move from step to step, spot key locations like the university restaurants, the library, and essential services… surprises await along the way!

Croisière sur la Seine (Cruise on the Seine)

Thursday, September 19 at 4:30 p.m., Paris 1st arrondissement
Join a guided boat tour and let yourself cruise along the Seine while discovering the treasures of Parisian heritage. The exact boarding location will be provided in the email confirming your registration.

Go International!

Tuesday, September 23 from 12 to 2 p.m.
Maison des langues et des relations internationales, mail des Mèches Campus
Are you looking to develop your intercultural skills to interact effectively in an international environment? Join this interactive workshop in English to improve your communication abilities with students from other cultures and nationalities. The program includes fun, inclusive, and dynamic activities designed to foster learning in a spirit of openness and collaboration. The workshop will be followed by an informal discussion session. Open to all UPEC students, subject to availability.

Free French as a Foreign Language Courses

Wednesday, September 24 at 1 p.m.
Faculté de sciences économiques et de gestion - Hall 101, mail des Mèches Campus
Boost your chances of success and ease your adaptation at UPEC by quickly improving your French — enjoy 20 hours of free classes. To join the group that best fits your needs, register for the mandatory placement test on Wednesday, September 24.

International Students' night

Thursday, September 25 at 8 p.m., Paris
Enjoy a festive evening to get to know each other better in a Parisian club (event reserved for international students over 18). The exact address will be provided in the registration confirmation email.
