The University of Paris-Est Créteil has held the "Bienvenue en France" label with a 2-star rating since 2019. Renewed in 2024, this label is a mark of trust that reflects UPEC's commitment to implementing actions that facilitate the arrival and integration of its international students.
WHAT IS THE "BIENVENUE EN FRANCE" LABEL?
Awarded by Campus France, the French agency for the promotion of higher education, welcome services, and international mobility, the "Bienvenue en France" label is valid for 5 years.The granting of the label is based on the institution’s response to the needs of international students in the following areas:
• Quality and accessibility of information
• Quality and accessibility of welcome facilities
• Access to and support for academic programs
• Housing and quality of campus life
• Quality of post-graduation follow-up
• Commitment to sustainable development and social and environmental responsibility
Welcome services for International students at UPEC
Supporting International Students is a key priority of Université Paris-Est Créteil's international policy.
Orchestrated by the Office of International Affairs, with crucial support from central services and the university's international networks across faculties, schools, and institutes, a set of tailored welcome services provides all international students — whether on individual mobility or on exchange programs — with comprehensive support and includes:
Applications, welcome, and support for individual international students: international@u-pec.fr
International students on exchange programs: International Relations Officers in faculties, schools, and institutes.
Orchestrated by the Office of International Affairs, with crucial support from central services and the university's international networks across faculties, schools, and institutes, a set of tailored welcome services provides all international students — whether on individual mobility or on exchange programs — with comprehensive support and includes:
- Dedicated support from application to arrival, as well as ongoing guidance throughout their academic journey and assistance with residence permits
- An Online Welcome Desk to generate a personalized roadmap remotely
- A welcome event, the Welcome Days, at the start of each academic year, featuring an on-site Welcome Desk (a one-stop administrative support service) available for nearly a month
- International relations liaisons within the faculties, schools, and institutes, alongside numerous central services (Enrollment and Study Organization Service, Campus Life Service, University Health Service, University Information and Guidance Service, University Libraries)
- Funding for student positions as international student advisors
- A bilingual English-French Welcome Guide
- Assistance with finding accommodation (agreements with CROUS for structured mobility and accommodation search platform)
- French as a Foreign Language (FLE) courses
- Languages and intercultural skills workshops to foster integration
